Learn to play fluently with others.

Group lessons are a great way to learn music and advance your skills. You learn how to play with others in a fun, supportive environment while pushing your playing to new heights. 

Ukulele Level II - Beginning to Intermediate Class (Mon Sept 9 - Nov 18)

This 10-week class is designed to get you from the beginning stage to an intermediate level of playing. Emphasis will be on learning to play with others, start improvising, learning new chords, how to play in any key, and understanding music to compose and learn songs faster. Hosted at Music Motive in San Luis Obispo. Some experience required. Must provide own instrument.

Times: Mondays from 6:30 – 7:30 PM

Early registration before Sept 1 – $120. Regular registration after Sept 1 – $150 *

*Registration fee of $10 is added to final amount. Fees cover materials provided for class.

Guitar Level II - Beginning to Intermediate Class (Wed Sept 11 - Nov 13)

This 10-week class is designed to get you from the beginning stage to an intermediate level of playing. Emphasis will be on learning to play with others, start improvising, learning new chords, how to play in any key, and understanding music to compose and learn songs faster. Hosted at Music Motive in San Luis Obispo. Some experience required. Must provide own instrument.

Time: Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:30 PM

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these classes for?
Classes range from complete beginner to advanced topics and are offered in sequence. Check out the current class schedule to determine the level and topics.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds, minus a $10 service fee, will only be granted if a student withdraws with at least 24 hours notice prior to the first day of class. A refund is not granted for students withdrawing from a class on the day it is scheduled to meet or after class has begun. In the event that the class is canceled due to low enrollment, class fees are fully refundable.
How much does it cost? How do I register?
Each 10-week course is $150 during regular registration and $120 during pre-registration. Pre-registration begins 2 weeks prior and 24 hours before the first session. Regular registration opens the first day of class and ends 2 weeks after the first day. To pre-register, please submit the survey and sign up with your email to be notified when pre-registration opens.
What happens if I can't make it to 1 or more of the sessions?
All sessions will have an audio recording emailed to all registrants. Along with the syllabus and handouts given at the beginning of class, students are expected to review any material missed. There is also support through the private Facebook group to help catch up. There will be no refunds or pro-rated fees based on attendance or absences.
Can I audit a class session to see if it's right for me?
Drop-ins are welcome provided there is enough space available in the class. You must get approval from the instructor to audit a class. You may only audit one session. Registration is required to attend more than one session.
